在我國，雖然秦始皇下令收繳天下兵器，運至都城咸陽銷毀，并鑄成12個各重24萬斤的大銅人，排列在阿房宮殿前，但并不似西方那樣自覺將其作為城市的組成部分。在以后的漫長歲月中，也未出現(xiàn)類似西方的人物雕塑。
